What is the Vikram and Saka Era in Hindu Calendar?

The names of the months of Shaka Samvat and Vikram Samvat are the same and both have Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. The only difference is in the start of both sides. In Vikram Samvat, the new month is from the Krishna Paksha that comes after the full moon, while in Shak Samavat, the new month starts from the Shukla Paksha after Amavasya. For this reason, there is a difference in the dates of the beginning of these seasons.
